So at the end of the last article I was going to get to know my host Giorgio. We met at the station of Orleans as we had agreed. It was wonderful to be back in the south after some nordic days in Rome
Giorgio was very friendly and made me feel at home immediately
Second question he asked was: would you like an ice-cream. What a warm welcome to Palermo!
After eating ice-cream at a nearby but nevertheless delicious Gelateria, we went home to the B&B. A great place I loved immediately. It was a very simple but charmingly furnished apartment with 4 bed-rooms, a living-room, two bathrooms, a kitchen and lots of balconies. We still are in the south!
Giorgio lives in another place, thus he comes to the apartment every morning to prepare the breakfast. Breakfast is served in the living-room for all the inhabitants and a good opportunity to get to know everyone.
There was a couple from Sweden and a french Family from Paris. The communication was an interesting mix of French, Italian, English and Swedish
Giorgio’s House, as found out later, is one of the few in Palermo, that organize Trekking tours and other events in Palermo by night.
When I arrived I did not know about that, for I had booked very late at the airport without reading the full description. In that moment it was more important to find a place for the night than to find a great place. However I had found both
